Founded by Matt Abergel and Lindsay Jang of renowned yakitori restaurant YARDBIRD [listed in this year's San Pellegrino Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants], RONIN opened in March on Hong Kong's On Wo Lane.

The exclusive izakaya seats 14, with a 12 person standing capacity. the menu changes daily, centred around a selection of locally and internationally sourced seafood, prepared using Japanese techniques. the menu is accompanied by over 50 varieties of whiskey from 10 distilleries, in addition to sake, shochu, Hitachino White Nest Ale, and an extensive range of cocktails.

ADAL III EARRINGS BY NORA RENAUD 







Since establishing her own jewellery collection in 2010, NORA RENAUD has collaborated with a number of designers, including NICOLAS ANDREAS TARALIS and YIQING YIN. Her new project, ADAL III, which consists of jewellery, drawings, and design objects, will be exhibited on the 5th of June, 2013, during 'BLACK/NOIR' at Pavilion Antiques in Chicago.

THE SPACECRAFT PROJECT FOR SOME/THINGS CHAPTER006







Since CHAPTER005, SOME/THINGS has had a close relationship with creative duo DUSTIN EDWARD ARNOLD and NICHOLAS ALAN COPE. After first featuring their PUTESCO series, SOME/THINGS collaborated with COPE and ARNOLD for THE SPACECRAFT PROJECT in CHAPTER006, in addition to two exclusive articles for the upcoming CHAPTER007, for which more details will be released soon.

Based on a concept by Monika Bielskyte in collaboration with art director Dustin Edward Arnold, with photography by Nicholas Alan Cope, THE SPACECRAFT PROJECT reinvents the language of sci-fi using computer graphics and digital image manipulation to create otherworldly vehicles with an aesthetic scale that is rare even in motion pictures. Each issue of the publication features a variety of paper stock, using some of the most advanced printing techniques including four-colour print in random raster and spot colour offset, achieving near-photographic image quality within the magazine. SOME/THINGS also employs advanced production methods such as screen printing, foiling, embossing/debossing, glossy and matt UV lacquer, and matt laminating.

Furthermore, an ongoing partnership with IMPRIMERIE COMELLI and COMELLINK has ensured SOME/THINGS provides clients with the highest-quality printed matter, as well as pre-press production and retouching services, for artist books and monographs, invitations, lookbooks, and catalogues.

SOME/THINGS' MONIKA BIELSKYTE AT OSCAR ASTIZ TATOUAGE EARLIER THIS YEAR















Born in Spain in 1977, Oscar Marquez y Astiz was raised by his grandmother at the famous Palacio de los Alava Esquivel. He began studying design in 2001 before working with John Galliano and Paco Rabanne and later accepting a position as an illustrator for Yves Saint Laurent’s studio. After a number of exhibitions featuring his work, ASTIZ left the fashion industry to focus on his drawings. He is now one of the most sought-after tattoo artists in Paris, with a high profile clientele including many leading figures in the luxury industry.
