HOT ROD HOUSE [2006] BY OLSON KUNDIG ARCHITECTS IN SOME/THINGS CHAPTER005
May12/2013 11/10AM
SOME/THINGS CHAPTER005 features previously unpublished images of HOT ROD HOUSE— the home designed by TOM KUNDIG [of OLSON KUNDIG ARCHITECTS] and his wife Jeannie for themselves. Originally a turn of the century two storey bungalow in the then working class neighbourhood of Queene Anne in Seattle, it was purchased with the intention of eventually 'hot rodding' it— using the original foundations and structural walls to make continued renovations, changes, and additions. Since it's completion in 2006, HOT ROD HOUSE serves as an on-going research project.
