YOHAN SERFATY [1966-2013]

It is with deepest sadness that Paris-based designer YOHAN SERFATY passed away last week. Born in Casablanca in 1966, SERFATY studied political science before interning at a number of French couture houses. He launched his own line of womenswear in 2008, followed by the Y. Project menswear label in 2010. He will be greatly missed.

Paris-based Moroccan born designer YOHAN SERFATY is showing today as part of the SS2013 homme paris fashion week. having started his first label in 2008, YOHAN LAUNCHED A NEW EXPERIMENT, Y.PROJECT, during 2010, in which he strives to DESIGN CLOTHES NOT as CONSUMPTION OBJECTS, BUT instead as lasting pieces.
