LEMOINE TRICOTE SPRING/SUMMER 2014 COLLECTION |
For S/S 14, Alice Lemoine introduces a collection of hybrid pieces resulting of the association of 2 techniques, one very organic and sensitive when needles and threads guide creations and one, way more controlled, made of rigour, patterns and cuts. From this association rises a look definitely contemporary (cleavage tops and cocktail dresses, sweat – shirts, leggings, cropped coats..).
Compared to previous seasons, the needle gets sharper, audacious and the types of yarn used per model widens. Threads are richer, brighter and most of the time more technique in their composition. The allure is more feminine, desirable and under tension. Technical nature of used materials gives the possibility of sculpturing a new range of volumes and to play with rounder shapes. Savage silk used as linings or as major component does structure the knit and gives a touch of minimalism to the collection.
From the association of those 2 working techniques arises coolness and sharpness.
The global look of the collection is also moving toward sportswear. The shade of the organza, laser cuttings on jersey pieces, exposed zips and use of jersey moss brings a urban touch to the ever chic.
