We are able to think of something if we can imagine it. The roots of technology are in the limits of our own bodies, we are even inseparable. At any point we all make a living with technology. The downside of this phenomenon, is that this directly reflects our nihility. Still Feng Zhu pictures us as human beings, already answering what the difference is. Our mortality is what makes emotion something we experience. Any of the functions and malfunctions of our bodies made us stand where we stand today, or where Feng Zhu pictures us standing.

Technique is what we fundamentally use. Even for controlling our own bodies; driving a car or drawing a scene. We use our bodies as the medium. It is remarkable that any form of skill or technique develops in automatism. We can involve other skills and reach a better efficiency.

Many things happen in the sceneries, where the main subjects is quite strong. Around the subject are all these small stories the viewer can come up with. Imagination takes over, making the work much more lively. In the absence of diversity in the portrayed architecture we find an efficient style, symbolizing again efficiency. The line between utensil and art vaporizes. It is the scenery of rational lines.

As we see this living beast of a city, what is the purpose of it? Absolute functionality. Any form of automation leads to that point. The most efficient action is used, all actuated by a higher consciousness. This is a everlasting conflict, which bit by bit leads to a balance. But as every process in such a society becomes more involved and complicated, our position as a user will change. Perhaps technology grows above our heads. As in nature, it is something we can not stop. We can even be seen as the medium.

The sceneries are cryptical and unsearchable expansion of the human body. We thought of our skin as bunkers and roofs, our hearts as electricity. Our food as fuel. We once were silent animals, now we are dependent on our own decorations. This megacity is a convoi, a colossal living beast. Dependent on its body; buildings. Played by wireless nerves; humans.

Countless of not aware cells form our bodies, is it not the same with cities? Once the whole earth will be a consciousness. One day our entire solar system. The technique is portrayed as a natural occurrence, an evolution which spans millions of years. We as humans transforming to a higher technological form of life.
