SOME/ART : RAN SLAVIN 'WORLD 5' EXHIBITION AT HERZLIYA MUSEUM, ISRAEL

Ran Slavin's WORLD5 installation view at Herzliya Museum Israel. WORLD5 distances from photography and empirical notions of reality or indexical models of the photography medium. WORLD5 is a secessionist space. It is a slow arcade, a space of wonder, an odyssey not under the jurisdiction of first, second or third world rules. It has no beginning nor end. Its reading is circular. A slow shifting and virtual arcade inspired by an ever expanding digitalis. WORLD5 has departed from ‘real’ representation and into an all encompassing virtual sphere. A techno topia, a utopia, a non place, a remote cyberia, a new some/nowhere.
