SOME/THINGS CHAPTER005

features previously unpublished images of

HOT ROD HOUSE

β€” the home designed by

TOM KUNDIG

[of

OLSON KUNDIG ARCHITECTS

] and his wife Jeannie for themselves. Originally a turn of the century two storey bungalow in the then working class neighbourhood of Queene Anne in Seattle, it was purchased with the intention of eventually 'hot rodding' itβ€” using the original foundations and structural walls to make continued renovations, changes, and additions. Since it's completion in 2006,

HOT ROD HOUSE

serves as an on-going research project.
