THE MORNING AFTER GIRLS ONE-OFF SHOW IN MELBOURNE

THE MORNING AFTER GIRLS were formed in Melbourne by Sacha Lucashenko and Martin B. Sleeman in 2003. Later moving to Sydney, the lineup included Lucashenko and Sleeman, as well as Anton Jakovljevic on drums, Scott Von Ryper on bass, and Aimee Nash on guitar, keyboards, and percussion. The band has toured with THE BRIAN JONESTOWN MASSACRE, BLACK REBEL MOTORCYCLE CLUB, the Dandy Warhols, THE BLACK KEYS, and the Warlocks, in addition to playing Reading Festival, Leeds Festival, T In The Park, and the South by Southwest Music Conference. In 2008, Lucashenko and Sleeman broke off from the rest of the group and relocated to New York City.

After spending the last 5 years based in New York, the band played a one-off return show at DING DONG LOUNGE in Melbourne last week. Photographed by LUKE MAYES, SOME/THINGS AGENCY
