TOWARDS THE CANARY / BE SHOT TO DEATH

THE PHOTOGRAPHIC PAPER BECOMES THE EVIDENCE. THE PRINTED IMAGE APPEARS BEFORE ME WITH A RAW STENCH. IF THE TIME FRAME OF THE PRESENT SIDES WITH PHOTOGRAPHY, THEN I AM COMPLETELY ON THE OUTSIDE, DESPERATELY SEEKING FOR A CLUE FOR THE TIME I KNOW DEFINITELY EXISTS, WHILE TRYING TO ESCAPE FROM THE UNGRASPABLE AND INDEFINITE PRESENT THAT HANGS IN LIMBO. AGAINST THE FLOW OF TIME THAT HEADS TO THE DEATH OF ME, THE ACT OF CREATING A TIME SUSPENDED RESEMBLES A PRAYER, AND THE IMAGE EXISTS ON THE FINE LINE BETWEEN A STRONG DESIRE AND PERSISTENCE ON THE EXISTENCE THAT STANDS AGAINST MY EXISTENCE, WHEN I PHOTOGRAPH, I CREATE THE MECHANISM THAT TRIGGERS A COINCIDENCE, AND MOREOVER, BY LOSING CONTROL OF THE VISION THAT I AM CONSCIOUS OF, I AWAIT THE MOMENT TO BE SHOT BY THE UNPREDICTABLE CAMERA. IF THE ACT OF SHOOTING PHOTOGRAPHY IS EQUAL TO SHOOTING A GUN, IT WOULD ALSO MEAN THAT I WOULD BE SHOT ON THE OTHER HAND, AND THERE IS THE TIME TO BE RESUSCITATED BY THE ACT OF KILLING
