The exhibition "H" by the Swedish/Danish artist Ingvar Cronhammar is an ambitious and comprehensive installation created with specific challenges.

33 years after the cisterns were drained, the water has now returned to the huge water reservoir deep below Søndermarken at Frederiksberg in Copenhagen. As a visitor, you are surrounded by water, both in the form of a large water surface covering the floor but also by 28 columns of shining falling water. Small bridges moves you around into an unknown darkness and while walking around you listen to the musical part of the project, created by composer and musician Martin Hall.

The walk into the darkness is like stepping into the machinery of a monstrous indefinable machine. Ingvar Cronhammar's artistic grab on the cisterns are soberly, without the slightest hint of sentimentality, and yet the work can form metaphors for the mindset and the subconscious.

Musicial experience: Martin Hall

Exhibition runs untill 29th of November 2015 at The Cisterns at Frederiksberg in Copenhagen
